Törkmar announces the availability of version 2.1.3 of the Vessel Display software for the Victron Cerbo/Ekrano GX for all existing customers. The main changes included in this version are:
- Initial support for the new Victron CanOpen Motor Driver introduced in the Venus OS 3.70 beta program. Törkmar have contributed a Curtis driver to this initiative that will support all existing Törkmar customers and mothership vessels equipped with Curtis E-series controllers. This allows users to choose between the Törkmar display and the Victron GUI V2 (aka New GUI) vessel display. Please note that the Victron release is still in Beta so may not function 100% reliably at this time.
- Addition of real-time motor Torque to the motor details popup (only supported when using the new Victron driver)
- Ability to select the speed/range units from the speed details popup (per screenshot)
- Temperatures in the temp details popup support both Celsius and Fahrenheit
- Temperature units can be selected from the temp details popup
- Numerous UI tweaks, bug fixes and performance enhancements
Please note that although the Victron motor driver has some advantages over the existing Törkmar version, it will require more CPU resources on the Cerbo/Ekrano and does not update the data as frequently as it polls the motor controller for each parameter.
This update can be performed using the online update option from any 2.x.x version or USB key install, any existing customers requiring a USB key install should contact their boatbuilder or Törkmar.
