Why Class T Fuses are Essential for Lithium Batteries

Think of the “T” in Class T as standing for Time because these fuses are all about speed. A Class T fuse is necessary for large lithium battery systems, like the ones on high-power narrowboats.

Lithium batteries can instantly generate huge amounts of electricity (extremely high short-circuit currents), a Class T fuse is a quick-acting safety device needed to handle a sudden power surge that lithium batteries can release in a fault, ensuring the system stays safe.

When to use

Use these fuse holders with the Predator PR48-100XBH/67 and a fuse appropriate for your installation. These fuses are not required if the batteries have a breaker like the Leoch LR51.2-100. With the Victron 51.2V 100 NG, use the Lynx Class T Power in.

Fuse Holder Durable Construction

Featuring durable construction with high-temperature plastic and tinned copper components, this fuse holder allows fuses to run at their maximum load capacity. It also includes stainless steel hardware and a clear cover for quick visual inspection. Importantly they fit together easily with the other Pro installer range.
