The H1Z2Z2-K Solar Cable is the right choice for connecting solar panels on your narrowboat, mainly because it stands up to the tough marine environment.
Built for Harsh Conditions
The cable is certified to resist UV light and all types of weather. This means the sun and rain won’t damage it over time. Crucially, it is highly water-resistant (AD8 rated). It is approved for use even when permanently underwater.
Safety and Durability
The core uses tinned copper which stops corrosion. This is vital for boats where moisture and salt are present. For safety inside your boat, the outer jacket is Flame Retardant and Low Smoke Zero Halogen (LSOH). This design is safer in case of a fire.
Kit Contents
We supply enough cable to power your system: 12 metres of black and 22 metres of red H1Z2Z2-K cable. This is sufficient to connect two arrays of five solar panels. We also provide two sets of MC4 connectors for easy installation and termination. This cable is highly flexible. This makes it easier to run and install in the tight spaces found on a narrowboat.
