Solar Panel Cover Strips
Use our Törkmar solar panel cover strips to hide the 5 mm gap around your panels. This gap is vital because it allows for movement. You get a clean finish and protect the adhesive underneath.
Key Details
These strips are 25 mm wide and 1 mm high with a rounded top edge. We provide them in lengths of 3000 mm. They are a dusty grey color (RAL 7037) and are made from UPVC.
Proper Installation
To install them, you must key the reverse side. Then, coat this surface with Beko Tackcon Primer. This ensures strong adhesion to the solar panels when you use Tackcon Superflex adhesive. The panels are already ‘solarised’ for you.
The ‘Solarising’ Process
‘Solarising’ is a process where we change the molecular structure of the panel’s ETFE film. This prepares the surface at the edges for a superior bond with the adhesive, helping to ensure your strips and panels stay securely in place for years.
